The Shore Club, Turks and Caicos
The Vibe
You could feel the extravagance as soon as you hit the lobby. I stayed here and The Shore Club, Turks and Caicos is stunning. They hadn’t missed a beat in the architectural department. The colors of the buildings were muted yet trendy, but still had a Caribbean charm. The villas added a layer of privacy and exclusivity and made us wonder who was staying in them. The restaurants were gorgeous. And the beach welcomed long walks, jet-ski rides, sunsets and snorkeling. This is a resort that would be perfect for a honeymoon, a girls getaway or a family with very young children who just want to get away and relax. It’s quiet and chill during the day. And nighttime brings people out for an extravagant meal.
How I Felt
Pampered in a word. Nothing is too much trouble here. The food was on point. The craft cocktails and champagne were flowing. The resort was trendy without being pretentious. The beauty of the décor made you feel like you were staying at the best resort on the island. The service was exceptional here and someone was always available to bring food or drinks to you at the beach and pool. There was nothing we ever needed at this property. They had it all.
The Digs
This property’s accommodations are nothing short of stunning! Some junior suites but mostly multi-room suites and villas on the beach. The suites are furnished with full kitchens, living rooms and balconies. Some have extra study’s in addition to the bedrooms. The muted tones of the décor adds an exquisite level of luxury to these suites. Everything from the bedding to the furnishings, the Nespresso and soaking tubs will have you oohing and aahing around your room. The Three Bedroom Executive Penthouse will delight even the most discerning traveler with it’s oversized balcony, Jacuzzi, and floor to ceiling windows. And if you really want to get impressive, check out the beachfront villas. 4, 5 and 6 bedrooms with private pools, elevators and total privacy.
The Agenda
The mornings were spent at the beach with mimosas, just lounging around. One afternoon we took out the jetski’s to the floating tiki bar for cocktails and photos. Then over the sunken ship to do some snorkeling. The next day was spent at our pool cabana with full wait service. Then off to the spa for a Sea Salt Caramel Body Glow treatment. I won’t lie, it wasn’t terrible. Dinner was an event each evening that began with cocktails at the Rope Bar and led into sushi at Sui-Ren or Almond Tree for creative comfort food.
The Eats
Dining here was an experience. The breakfast buffet was fantastic…lots of fresh fruit, eggs to order, pastries. Lunch we usually did by the pool or beach. The burgers were fabulous, as were the salads and sandwiches. Dinner was a culinary delight with many different options for all different tastes. Fresh fish is definitely something to try here and if you are vegetarian, you will be in all your glory. The food is freshly prepared to your liking. Don’t forget dessert. Wow! The sorbet is a huge hit!
Why I Would Go Back to The Shore Club
The Shore Club is easily one of my all-time favorites. Everything from the stunning décor in the suites to the gorgeous views of the beach and crystal clear water was a delight. The service, food and overall chill atmosphere were enough to have me considering a trip back before I’ve even returned home.
